axonX to install Video Fire Detection system in National Zoo
Sparks, MD. axonX LLC, the world

pleased to announce the installation of a SigniFire IP camera based
surveillance system with early warning fire and smoke detection
capabilities at the National Zoo in Washington DC.
A recent article in the Washington Post highlights the improvements
being made to the Zoo fire protection systems.The
article states that In addition (to the sprinkler system upgrades), the
zoo is about to test a state-of-the-art smoke detection system in the
Great Ape House and Kids' Farm Barn that can "see" smoke and fire, said
the zoo's resident engineer, Marc M. Muller. The effort is a
collaboration between the National Zoo, the Smithsonian Institute and
axonX.
