George Privalov, Ph.D.
Founder/CTO
George Privalov is the Chief
Technology Officer and Founder of axonX LLC. He has invented and is now
responsible for continued development of all fire, smoke and motion
detection algorithms. His team’s responsibility now includes the
development of new hardware platforms including advanced Digital Signal
Processing (DSP) architectures, remote monitoring and response
infrastructure as well as further development of video detection
technologies. Mr. Privalov holds two patents and has three others
pending in the field of video based fire detection.
Before founding axonX LLC, Mr.
Privalov was President and co-founder of Applied Thermodynamics LLC, a
company that developed ultra sensitive microcalorimeter technology that
was successfully licensed and is currently being produced by Calorimetry
Sciences Corporation in Provo, Utah under the brand name Nano-DSC.
Born in 1964 in Tbilisi, USSR
(currently Republic of Georgia), Mr. Privalov received his MS in
electrical engineering from Moscow State Institute of Electronics and
Mathematics in 1988. In 1990, he moved to the US to attend graduate
school at The Johns Hopkins University. In 1995, he received his Ph.D.
in Biophysics.
